Russell working hard & me hardly working!!

So those of you who haven't been in my house I will explain. Half of my basement was already done. The other half was just left for us to finish. If you know Russell he can't just sit home and not have a project. He has told me over and over that we would probably live in our house 2 years before we finish the basement. Well this month it will be 1 yr and the basement is FINISHED!! We had to do some changes to the already build parts like ripping out 2 walls. One cause it closed off the two rooms that meet and the other by the stairs cause we wouldn't be able to get furniture down if we didn't.

This is the one wall that we had to rip out that connected Keytin's toy room and our theater room. As you can see Russell is hard at work.

This is a picture of Keytin's toy room and if you look to the right half of that wall that there is now gone. It really opened up this room a lot more.

Here is were we decided to build a wall to where our bath room will go in later down the road. That door behind Russell is again the wall that is gone.

I have kinda skipped ahead cause the other pictures of the dry wall is really boring so here is Russell cocking all of the trim and doors that we put up. As you can see Keytin is right there the whole time watching ever move Russell makes. He was awesome through this whole period of framing, dry wall, muding , and even painting.

So We have got the carpet in and as you can see the wall is gone, the other wall to the bathroom is up and this display is Keytin's TV ( Russell gave me this TV and entertainment center when we were dating. I painted the entertainment center just to give it a face lift.)

I will put a picture of the theater room when it is ready but I will say it is a light brown with a leather look that we did our self and am so proud of. The reason I want to wait is because our furniture is coming today 3-24-11 and I cant wait to get a full picture of it ( give or take a few items that will come later.)

It shocks me what Russell can do. He is like super man to me. With in a year and remember he was gone 4 months out of that year in Louisiana. But he has built up our yard by hauling himself load after loads of dirt, putting up chain link fence with a cement boarder, sprinklers, grass (front and back), and a ton of gravel. He has also made Mya and amazing dog house for a king and a friend. Finished our basement and next he wants to maybe tackle a deck on the back of our house is summer and still managing to tinker with his truck. Pulling it apart and putting it back together again. He is a mad man. and remember while he is doing all this he is still managing to put in 40- plus hours in at work every week. I love him so much and couldn't imagine my life without him.

Winter 2010

I know I know I have slacked off back but that seems to be my style! So here are some of the winter pictures that I have. One month I will take a lot of pictures and forget to video and then the next I will video a lot and not take as many pictures. This Christmas was a month were I did the video thing.

We decided to go to a Manti game while Russell was out of town and there is were we always end up. Keytin will always find old boys to hang with and lucky all the boys just go with it and make him feel like one of them!!
This is Christmas Eve at the bowling ally. After we eat and Santa comes we get to bowel. This was the first time Keytin bowled. Every one was amazed that his feet fit into the size 9 shoe. I tell people all the time that Keytin is a big boy and for some reason people don't get how big I really mean. He has passed up his cousins that are a yr and even a yr and a half. Not just in height but in weight!. This is all of Russell's work cloths and I cant remember why I throw them on him but Keytin and him really enjoyed the warm cloths. It even knocked them out!!

This is Keytin's Christmas He loved all the toys. The video of him was so funny cause when he walked out and saw everything he just stopped. He didn't know what to think!

We went to Aunt Sonia's house for New Years. Keytin loves playing with his cousins. I don't think he really understood what we were doing all watching the ball drop but he enjoyed almost all of it. Well were all getting ready to leave at 1:00 am and it was way passed all of there bed times cause one of the boys decided to slam Keytin's head into the stairs. He hit his mouth and we left with a big and bloody lip.

Keytin is 2 yrs old. Its is crazy how fast it goes. I look at his baby pictures and cant remember how he changed into a 8lbs 1 ounce baby to a 35lb 2 yr old. His birthday party was all around Toy Story cause he can't get enough of them. That is his favorite movies all three!!

Keytin had just got out of the bath and does his usually run naked around the house but today he decided to grab his Halloween hat and his Easter basket to join him in his run!!So my pictures got kinda scrambled cause this is Christmas eve again. Keytin couldn't get enough of playing the shooting game with dad. He would bowel and then run into the arcade room and we would have to go get him when it was him turn again.

I can say my son did not cry when Santa came he just would not look at him!! I think he figured it he couldn't see him he wasn't there!!

Keytin's Christmas eve present was a tractor that moves forward and back so he would roll it back and forth to dad!

Of coarse I have to put on the funniest picture to show everyone how cute Kenzie truly is.

Summer stuff!

New House 3 months ago

So I already told you that we bought our very own house and here are some of the pictures I promised you !Here is my kitchen that I love so much it has alot of space and so much counter space! I painted it green to match the rugs I bought but I haven't downloaded my new pictures so just imagine it! I love it!

Playroom- once we have our second child (which wont be for a while) this room will be Keytin and hopefully we will have a playroom down in the basement (which hopefully will be finished by then).

Keytin's bath room- if you opened up the shower curtain you would be able to tell because of all of Keytin's toys are just hanging out waiting for him to take a bath!

Keytin's bathroom- some more of the decorations that i think are just so cute!

Kitchen rugs- the green spots are the color of my kitchen and I love it because it make my kitchen so much brighter and happy plus green is my favorite color.

So two weeks after moving in we got my bedroom furniture and our living room tables. We bought them from Best Deals in Springville. The furniture is beautiful and at a really good price!

This is one of our corner tables that I love! The flash kinda made the rock an ugly color cause they are really pretty in person!

This is my bed room set we got a Cali king, 2 night stands, a dresser with a mirror, and a TV holder thing! I love our pick. The hardest and nicest thing about the store is they have so many choices to choose from but you have to choose from magazines so you don't really get to see them in person. We were choosing from three different ones that we really like and finally Russell made the final choose and I am so glad he choose this one it is so beautiful and thick!!

I put Keytins name on his door and I am so proud of myself for thinking of it!

Longest Blog ever!!

So here goes the longest blog I have ever done. So much has been going on I have been really busy and lazy to blog so now I will catch all of you up to speed. Well we bought a house in Manti that is brand new and has everything I wanted. The layout, the yard, and it is in Manti. We first looked at it on Feb. 27 and we started moving in March 26 (on my Birth day! Best birthday present ever!). Now I bet you are saying that we got in super fast which we did but it wasn't just luck there was a big reason everything moved so fast for us. Barclay's got a job in Louisiana and Russell got the great opportunity to go! Russell got to sleep one night in the new house and then he left the next morning. He was so exhausted and plus he was getting sick it was so crazy. Half of our stuff (tools, toys that Keytin doesn't play with any more, camping gear, and other things that I wont need right away or I wouldn't use without Russell) got put in a storage unit the week before we signed just to make it a little easier on us. Then I got a day to move and have Russell help to move as much as we could into the house which most of it ended up in the garage and I have slowly been moving it in. So now I have a brand new house and no Russell but only for a little while. They say the job will last for 4 months but pretty sure it will turn into 6-12 months. The soonest Russell will be able to come home is July 4 which sucks. Keytin and I were planning on flying out one week and seeing Russell and Louisiana but they are working all 7 days so we are going to wait and see if sometime Russell could take somedays off and we could go tour the towns but we are still waiting and seeing how everything is turning out. It has been 2 weeks now that Russell has been gone and let me tell you its not easy having the biggest part of your life all of a sudden gone. Almost every day I catch myself staring at pictures of him and start to tear upor even having a huge break down!! I miss everything about him. Russell and I aren't that good and talking on the phone so our conversations last about ten min. and the whole time we talk about Keytin and what different thing he did that day. It also suck cause Keytin has changed so much he has turned into a sponge and is developing so fast and Russell is missing it. I do send him videos everyday of Keytin and me over the phone so he can still get a little glimpse of what is happening back here but it isn't the same.
I hope I am not giving off the wrong impression cause it is so great that Russell has work and that we are blessed that he can make the money to put us a head so that when he comes back he wont be as stressed about that cause we still have alot to do with the house which includes putting in a fenced in back yard for Mya (our dog) plus sprinklers and finishing the front yard too.
I haven't got pictures yet of our house but they will be coming I promise I just wanted to get all of our furniture in and everything set before showing the kinda finished result. But here are pictures of other thing. They aren't in order SORRY!

Russell even put my name on all my tools so everyone would know they were mine. How cute is that!!

My parents, Keytin, and me colored Easter eggs (more my mom and me while my dad and Keytin went and watched TV) the yellow one says RDS+MLS and then Keytins green one says if you can't read it I MISS DADDY!! ya I cried over that stupid egg forever!!

So on Easter Sunday our new neighbors the Kirkhams had an Easter egg hunt in there back yard and they invited us it was great. My neighbors are so awesome which is good cause Keytin loves them. Any chance he get to take off without me looking he is running across the street to see them.

Every holiday that comes up I go outside and color on the cement so here is my lovely drawing of a bunny with his eggs I know I'm an artist.

Here is Keytin at the park at 9:00 AM while it is snowing waiting to hunt for candy. He really could have cared less about the candy he just loved watching all the people and he loved the baseball field.

THE BEST PARENTS EVER!!!

Since Russell has left my parents have help out so much! My mom is always more then willing to take Keytin for me or just entertain him so I can have a break and my dad is always right there when I have a problem that needs fixing I am so blessed and love them so much. There is no way I could ever do this without them they are amazing and so patient with me and Keytin. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH I can never say it enough!!

He is just some pictures of my parents be awesome and helping me out.

And Keytin has to be right there to watch and soak it all in. Plus he loves my dad so much if I can't calm him down I just hand him off to my dad and he always gets the job done.

And Lorin is great to stop on by and see if there is anything he can do to help. I appreciate it so much. Once again if there is a power tool going Keytin is right there.

My mom is so great I can always count on here. I LOVE YOU MOM!
